what is love?

love is a universal language that speaks to everyone in its own way. in my pursuit to understand the diverse facets of love, I turned to my friends for their view on love. i asked them a simple yet important question: what does love mean to you?

their responses were honest, heartfelt, and raw. through their stories, i discovered that love takes on various forms – from the excitement of new connections to the comfort of chosen families. this project is an exploration of these narratives, a glimpse into the unique experiences that shape us all.

love handles hurt.

love needs no explanation.

i had this unexplainable feeling and I couldn't tell: is this what love feels like?

love is waking up and choosing your person again and again.

love listens, asks questions and wants to hear an answer.

there are so many different languages to love.

love has so many names and colors.

i want to spend time with the person I love.

i want to feel love.

you can't give love one attribute. love encompasses so much.

i get this tingly feeling- i don't know how or why.

i have to grow up and mature. then I will find the one.

this was my pride-project in 2023. i am thrilled to have had you alongside me as i delved into the beautiful tapestry of love. through a series of photographs, i aimed to capture the essence of love shared by my friends. each image is a frozen moment, a snapshot of emotion and connection that transcends boundaries.
